The Yarn Wagon was born out of a community need for a tactile yarn shopping experience. Our showroom serves as a response to the decline of local yarn stores due to the rise of online shopping. But even in the digital age, one thing remains clear: People still crave the hands-on experience of feeling and interacting with yarn. After all, the joy of knitting is not just about the finished piece, it is about the experience of selecting those perfect, delicious yarns. 

With this in mind, we created The Yarn Wagon: A stationary showroom designed to inspire creativity, and give an opportunity for people to come together so that knitters can test, buy, and enjoy yarn together.

• Create your own Garenpalet (Yarn Palette): Make your personalized selection of yarns for your next project.

• Learn to knit: New to knitting? We’re excited to welcome beginners and help you get started with your journey!

• Knit in the Boerderijwinkel Cafe on Fridays: Join our Zwolle knitting club Whatsapp group to find and schedule meetups with other enthusiastic people to knit and chat.
